IV 2008 fully booked!

We are overwhelmed by the number of registrations. We are fully booked. Due to the capacity of the location and safety regulations, we cannot allow more participants. The registration modulehas been closed. On-site registration will not be possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.
On June 6, the demonstration day is open to the public and free of charge.

Poster Contribution
Please take a look here at the IV website for all information about the requirements of the poster and the facilities (f.e. a table and electricity).

NB: the poster has to have a 'portrait ' orientation, otherwise it doesn't fit on the poster walls. Besides that, the size is limited.

Oral Contribution
Your presentation with questions and answers should be finished in 20 minutes. A beamer and laptop equipped with PowerPoint will be available.

For those who arrive in Eindhoven on Tuesday, we offer a possibility to register already at our congress desk.

The organization is very pleased that the amount of demos in so high. It will become a tremendous day with such an amount of demos. Next to some cars from the latest DARPA challenge, there will be a lot of demos at our demo site from both universities, institutes and industries. We hope that a lot of congress participant will be able to join a demo.

Cognitive Automobiles Workshop at IV 2008

The Cognitive Automobile (CA) project develops new methods for machine perception which may serve as the basis for sensible machine behaviour. Thus, automobiles shall be able to correctly interpret a complex situation in traffic and to act accordingly. Individual as well as cooperative perception and action shall be possible. "Cognitive Automobiles" are safer, drive more economically and thus such technology may create a technological advantage of the automobile industry in international competition. The CA project will contribute to IV 2008 with technical contributions as well as demonstration, including the AnnieWAY car that participated in the DARPA Urban Challenge. IV 2008 aims to cluster the CA contributions on Friday 6th June. For more information about the CA project, go to www.kognimobil.org.

IV '08 paper submission closes with an IV record of over 290 submissions!

The paper submission of IV 08 has now been closed. Over 290 submissions were received, which sets a new record for the IV conference! The submissions have been sent out for review. The authors will be notified about the results of the review by February 28.

Meeting of the Board of Governors of the ITS Society of the IEEE

The ITS Society of the IEEE advances the theoretical, experimental and operational aspects of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies as applied to Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The ITS Society of the IEEE sponsors the IEEE IV 2008 Symposium. The Society is governed by the Board of Governors, consisting of 15 elected members and the Executive Committee which is concerned with day-to-day activities. The Board of Governors of the ITS Society will meet on June 3rd, 2008, 10:00-16:00 at the campus of Eindhoven University of Technology. 4th IEEE Workshop on Vehicle to Vehicle Communications (V2VCOM 2008)

The V2VCOM 2008 workshop will take place on June 3rd, 2008 (Tuesday) at the Campus of Eindhoven University of Technolgy. Paper submission dead-line IV 2008 extended to January 10, 2008

Upon numerous requests, the paper submission dead-line for IV'08 has been extended to January 10, 2008. Corresondingly, notification of acceptance is extended to February 21, 2008 and the camera-ready manuscript due for proceedings to March 20, 2008.
