Cognitive Automobiles Workshop at IV 2008

The Cognitive Automobile (CA) project develops new methods for machine perception which may serve as the basis for sensible machine behaviour. Thus, automobiles shall be able to correctly interpret a complex situation in traffic and to act accordingly. Individual as well as cooperative perception and action shall be possible. "Cognitive Automobiles" are safer, drive more economically and thus such technology may create a technological advantage of the automobile industry in international competition. The CA project will contribute to IV 2008 with technical contributions as well as demonstration, including the AnnieWAY car that participated in the DARPA Urban Challenge. IV 2008 aims to cluster the CA contributions on Friday 6th June. For more information about the CA project, go to www.kognimobil.org.
